A Love I Never Thought I'd Get To Get To

I'm really bad at this whole blog thing...

Man, for someone who loves to write and take pictures, I'm really bad at this whole blogging thing...The saddest part is that I take pictures with the intent of putting them on the blog, but it just never seems to happen. Playing "catch up" is not nearly as fun as giving each story it's own well thought out post. Oh well, here we go!

My last post was about our move to Texas. So much has happened in the year since I last posted. The biggest change being that Michael and I are back in Utah! (Not an exclamation of excitement.) We loved living in Fort Worth more than anything we have done since being married. We lived in the most perfect location and still dream about it sometimes. I miss it so much that my heart aches when I think about it. We planned on buying a house and making Fort Worth home...What is the saying about telling God your plans if you want to hear him laugh? Two months into our Texas adventure, loving my job as a photographer and our season passes to Six Flags Over Texas, I received a phone call that changed everything. My grandma had fallen and really hurt herself. She was strong enough to be on her own when we left, but things changed and she could no longer live on her own. Michael and I decided to finish out the summer in Fort Worth then go back to Provo. We were both heartbroken, but we knew it was the only option if we wanted to keep Grandma out of a nursing home.

So here we are; back in Provo. It hasn't been all bad. We've been blessed for our sacrifice. And we know that one day Fort Worth will be home.
